Walking into Mallick Hardware, you’re probably going to smell metal and maybe a bit of oil. We are tucked away in Hirapur village, which is part of the Rajhati area. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities, but we stay busy enough with folks coming in from the nearby fields and houses. The shop is right here in the Villpost, so we’re easy to find if you’re local to Khanakul. I spend a lot of my time moving boxes around and making sure we have what people are looking for. It’s not a supermarket; it’s a hardware store where things are stacked where they fit. We’ve got dust on the shelves and tools hanging from the walls. If someone needs a specific bolt or a hammer, they usually just ask, and I know exactly which pile it’s in. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, but that doesn't stop anyone from dropping by. It’s a small community, so I know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and see who needs help with their repairs. It’s been this way for a long time, and honestly, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but here in Hirapur. It is a simple shop for people who need to get things fixed.
