Madura Coats Ltd

Our branch of Madura Coats Ltd is located out in Rishra, Hooghly, specifically at 1/A/1 Pitambar Gupta Lane. This part of West Bengal has a very different feel than the big city centers. The lane is relatively narrow, and the building has that classic look you find in older industrial towns. We have been working out of this space for some time, managing the local aspects of the coat and thread business. The interior is simple, with high ceilings and heavy desks that have probably seen a lot of years. We spend the day coordinating with the factory side of things and making sure the shipments are moving out to the Hooghly district and beyond. It gets quite humid here, especially during the monsoon, so the paperwork sometimes feels a bit damp. We have a routine of checking the logs and verifying the stock every morning. The staff mostly lives nearby, so there’s a local feel to the office. We don't have a lot of modern glass walls or flashy tech. It’s more about the ledgers and the physical inventory. Sometimes you can hear the train in the distance, which is a constant reminder of the transport lines we rely on. It’s a quiet, hardworking environment where we just focus on the task at hand without much fuss. The neighbors know us well, and we’ve become a small part of the life on Pitambar Gupta Lane over the years.
