Kidzee

Over at 51, Dhiman Bhattacharya Sarani, you will find our Kidzee school. Being in Hooghly, specifically the 712250 area, we are part of a busy little neighborhood. The street outside can get quite narrow, especially when parents are trying to park their scooters to drop off their toddlers. The school itself is a cozy space. We have decorated the walls with drawings that the children have made, mostly just scribbles of suns and trees. It doesn't look like a fancy office; it looks like a place where kids spend their time. We have a few rooms dedicated to different activities. One room has all the puzzles and another one is where they sit for their stories. The fans run all day to keep the air moving because it can get quite humid here in Hooghly. We have a small outdoor area, but it's not very big, just enough for a swing and a slide. The teachers here are local women who have been with us for a while. We know the names of all the parents and even some of the grandparents who come to pick the kids up. It is a friendly atmosphere, even if it gets a bit chaotic when it's time for the kids to go home. We don't have any big corporate systems, just a notebook where we write down who came and who left. It is a simple, honest way to run a school.
