This is the local spot for Cognizant Technology Solutions over here at 58/3 B.K. Street in Uttarpara. We are located right at Roshni Champati, C/O Ambar Champati. It’s a bit different from the big tech parks you might see in the news, but we get our work done just the same. Hooghly is a bit quieter, which helps when you need to focus on code or fixing software problems. The office is basically a few rooms with computers and a lot of cables running along the floor. We aren't trying to be fancy with glass buildings or expensive furniture. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks and taking care of the tech stuff that comes our way. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in this part of town. We handle things for people who need help with their systems. It’s a lot of screen time and drinking tea while we figure out why something isn't working right. The neighbors know us as the IT people on the block. We keep to ourselves mostly, but the door is usually unlocked if someone needs to drop off a document or ask a quick question. It’s a practical setup, nothing more and nothing less. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay on schedule despite the heat and the humidity. It stays busy.
