Hotel Karandeep

Hotel Karandeep is over in Defence Colony on Rajgarh Road. We are near the court and Sector 15, so there are always lawyers and people with paperwork walking around our street. We took over Scf 38-39 quite some time back. It’s not a huge place, just a decent building with a few floors. I usually arrive around eight in the morning and check the water tanks first thing. If the pump is acting up, the whole day feels off. My nephew helps out at the desk during the afternoon shift while I go home for lunch. The rooms are okay, nothing too special, just basic furniture we bought from a local maker in Hissar. People come here because we are close to the main offices. You can hear the traffic from the main road if you leave the balcony doors open. We try to keep the hallway lights on all night so people feel safe when they come back late. The lobby has a couple of chairs that have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough if you’re waiting for a rickshaw. We don’t have a big fancy menu, just some basic stuff if someone is hungry. Mostly, people just want a place to stay while they finish their work at the court. It’s a straightforward business and we just keep it running day by day. There is a small park nearby where I sometimes sit when the hotel is quiet.
