Dashmesh Food Industries Private Limited is out on the Bhuna Narwana Road. We’re located at Upkar Singh’s place, he is Surjeet Singh’s son, in Sinyana near Uklana. It’s a bit out of the way if you aren’t from around here. Being on the road means we see a lot of trucks passing by. Our setup is pretty straightforward, just a workspace where we handle the food processing and industrial side of things. It can get quite hot in the summer months, and the fans do not always do much. We started this because there was a need for it in our area. We are not trying to be some corporate giant from the city. We’re just local people working with what we have. Most of our days are spent checking the machines and making sure the supplies are coming in on time. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of the inventory. Sometimes the road gets blocked or the deliveries are late, but that is just how it is out here. We take pride in the fact that we know our neighbors and our suppliers personally. There is no fancy lobby or receptionist here, just us in our work clothes getting things done. We focus on the food and try to keep our overheads low so we can stay in business. It is a tough industry but we have managed to stick it out so far through the seasons.
