Aman Bricks

Aman Bricks is located right in Village Ejipura on the Ejipura Road in Sabarkantha. It is a rural area, and we are surrounded by fields for the most part. The air is usually clear, but the dust from the yard stays around our clothes and boots. We deal with bricks every single day. It is a lot of bending over and carrying heavy loads. We have a few piles of clay and sand that we use, and they take up a good portion of the space we have. The road outside can get a bit bumpy, especially after a heavy rain, so the trucks have to be careful when they come to pick up a load. We have a small shaded area where we keep the water pot and a couple of old chairs. It is not much, but it is where we sit during the midday heat. Working in Sabarkantha means you have to get used to the sun. We do not have any fancy office or a computer to track things. Most of our notes are written in a thick notebook that stays on the shelf. We know most of the farmers and builders in Ejipura because they stop by to chat or see how the bricks are coming along. It is a slow pace of life here, but the work never really stops. We just keep producing what people need for their homes and sheds. It is honest work.
