Hazaribagh Agro Producer Company Limited is located over in Barka Khurd, Ratanpur. We are based at the residence of Deo Nath Mehta in the Katkamsandi Ichak area, pin code 825402. It's a bit of a way out from the main city but that suits us just fine since we are all about agriculture. We set this up as a way for the local producers around here to have a voice and a place to organize their work. We don't have a polished office with air conditioning or anything like that. Instead, we meet up at Deo Nath's place and sit around talking about what is growing and what isn't. It is a very local affair and most of the people who come by are from the nearby villages. We spend our days dealing with the realities of farming in Hazaribagh, like the rain coming late or the price of fertilizer going up. It is a lot of hard work but having the company helps us stay a bit more organized than we used to be. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity, we just want to help the farmers in Barka Khurd and the surrounding spots get their stuff to market. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing but we help each other out with it. It's just a bunch of us trying to make a living off the land in Katkamsandi. We don't need much more than some good weather and fair prices.
