R. K. Masale

R. K. Masale is located in Village Manki, which is part of Honnavar. Our place is quite easy to find because we are right near the Woman Help Center. It is a quiet neighborhood for the most part, except when we are running the grinders. We make various masalas here in our small unit. We don't have a big fancy office or a marketing team telling us what to do. It is just a simple business run by people who live right here in Manki. We spend our days sorting through spices and making sure the blends are right. Sometimes the bags are heavy and the work is a bit messy, but we don't mind it. It is what we know. We didn't start this to become some huge corporation. We just wanted to have a steady job in our own village. The building we work in is old but it works for us. We don't bother with expensive signs or radio ads. Most people around Honnavar know about us because they see us working every day. We just try to do a decent job and stay out of trouble. There are no big secrets to how we work; we just put in the hours and keep things moving. If you walk by, you will likely hear the machines and smell the spices from the road. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy and part of the village life.
