We are located on Hondada Oni in the town of Byadagi, which is in the Haveri district. If you know anything about this area, you know that chillies are a big deal here. Our office is right in the middle of all that action. It is a simple building on a narrow street, and it can get very crowded on market days. We handle the financial and chit-fund side of things related to the local trade. It isn't a flashy place; we have some wooden desks, a few chairs for customers, and a lot of ledgers and notebooks. The smell of dried chillies is everywhere in this town, and our office is no exception. It can make you sneeze if you aren't used to it. Most of our day is spent talking to local farmers and traders who come by to settle their accounts or join a new group.
