Saraswathi Coconut Powder Industry is based in Channarayapatna, at house number 23-11-54. If you walk near our gate, you can usually smell the coconut right away. It’s a very distinct scent that stays on your clothes all day. We process the coconuts into powder here, which involves a lot of drying and grinding. Most people find us through word of mouth or by seeing our bags at the market. Our office is just a small room with a desk and a couple of chairs for visitors. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours and the whole place goes quiet, which is a nice break actually. We spend that time cleaning the equipment or just sitting in the shade. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't try to be the biggest industry around, just one that does a decent job with what we have.
