Blossom School is located in the Indhiranagar area of Ballu, which is in Hassan. It’s a quiet enough part of town compared to the main city center. The school is a modest building that fits right in with the houses around it. We have a gate that stays closed during school hours to keep things safe. Inside, you’ll find the usual classrooms with wooden desks and benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. We have a small garden area out front where some flowers grow, which is probably why the place was named this way. The staff here is small, mostly people from the local Hassan community. We spend our days teaching the kids their basic subjects and watching them play during the lunch hour. It’s not a place with high-tech gadgets; we mostly stick to books, chalk, and talk. The parents often stop by the gate to have a quick word with us about how their kids are doing. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution sometimes. We have to deal with the rainy season which makes the playground a bit muddy, but the kids don't seem to mind much. Life here moves at a steady pace, and we just focus on getting through the curriculum each term. If you walk down the lanes of Indhiranagar, you can’t miss the sound of the children playing or the school bell ringing. It’s a simple, local school for the families living nearby.
