If you go to Civil Lines in Roorkee, right by the Nirakshan Bhawan, you’ll find our office on the first floor at number 21. Man Mohan Sharma is the one who keeps things moving here. Roorkee is a busy place with the university and all the shops, so being in Civil Lines is handy for getting things done. We deal with agro products. It is a straightforward business where we connect what the farmers produce with the people who need it. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just an office where we handle the orders and talk to clients. The building is an older one, and the stairs can be a bit steep, but it’s a solid place to work. We spend our days mostly on the phone or working through stacks of papers. It’s not the kind of job that gets you on the news, but it’s important for the local economy. We know the farmers in the surrounding villages and we know what they are growing this season. Sometimes we have to go out and see the crops ourselves just to be sure of the quality. We don’t use any big marketing slogans. We just tell people what we have and what the price is. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. It’s a small-town way of working where people trust you because they know where to find you.
