Manish Chandra Garg (Chandra Industries)

Manish started Chandra Industries here in Jwalapur a while back. We are located on Road No. A-9 in Amar Colony, which is part of Subhash Nagar. It’s an industrial area, so there are always sounds of metal hitting metal or machines humming nearby. Our workshop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We do a lot of the manufacturing work ourselves. Manish is usually right there with the rest of us, getting his hands dirty. We don’t wear suits or have big meetings. We just look at the orders for the day and get to work. The floor is often covered in scraps and dust from whatever we are making. It’s a tough environment, especially when it’s humid, but we have a good group of local guys who know how to handle the equipment. We've had the same sign out front for years and it’s a bit faded now. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. If someone needs something made, they usually just walk in or call us up. We focus on finishing the job on time. It's not a glamorous business, and we don't pretend it is. We just focus on the machines and the day-to-day tasks. Life in Jwalapur moves at its own pace, and we’re happy to be a part of this community, helping our neighbors and keeping our little factory running as best as we can.
