Divine Engineers

Our place is on Plot No.6 in Shastri Nagar, right on the main Dehradun Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always cars and trucks zooming by outside. We started Divine Engineers because we knew how to handle metal and fabrication work. It's not a huge operation. We have our space in Shivkuti where we keep all our tools and materials. Most days involve a lot of measuring, cutting, and welding. We get all sorts of requests from people nearby. Sometimes it’s something small for a house, other times it’s more industrial. The shop floor is usually covered in scraps, but we try to clear it out every Saturday. It gets pretty loud with the hammers and the saws, so we don't do much talking while the machines are on. We just get on with the tasks. It’s honest work. We aren't into anything flashy. We just have our machines and we use them. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, which is frustrating, but that's life here. We’ve been in this neighborhood long enough that folks know where we are. If you're driving down the main road, you'll see our sign. We just keep our heads down and focus on finishing the jobs we have on the list. It’s a steady rhythm day after day. We like being part of the local scene here and keeping things simple for everyone involved.
