Shri Chhote Lal Jagroop Yadav Mahavidyla is located in Bangarmau, which is part of the Unnao district. It is a place where young people from the surrounding villages come when they finish school. We are not a high-tech campus with glass buildings. Instead, we have solid brick walls and classrooms that have seen many years of use. Running a college here means dealing with a lot of paperwork and making sure the students are prepared for their exams. We spend our mornings checking the schedules and talking to the professors. The students usually hang around the courtyard between classes, talking about their plans or just killing time. Bangarmau is a typical town where everyone knows what is going on. We do not have a marketing department or anything like that. People come to us because we are here and we provide a place to study near their homes. It can get pretty hot during the summer months, and the fans in the classrooms work overtime. We focus on the practical side of things, like keeping the library books in order and making sure the campus is safe. It is a straightforward kind of operation. No one here puts on airs. We are just local staff trying to keep this institution running so the local youth have somewhere to go. It is a lot of hard work and sometimes it feels a bit repetitive, but it is what we do here in Unnao.
