Shri Balaji Brick Field

We are based in Village Behtachand, right along the Lucknow Road. Shri Balaji Brick Field has been part of this community for a long time. You can’t miss us if you’re driving toward the city; just look for the big open fields and the brick stacks. Making bricks is what we know how to do best. It’s a process that hasn’t changed much since my grandfather’s time. We dig the clay, mold it into shapes, let the sun do its job, and then fire them up. It’s a lot of waiting and a lot of heavy lifting. The crew here is like a big family, even if we argue sometimes about where to stack the new batch. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just show up in the morning and hope the weather stays clear so we can get the firing done. The Lucknow Road stays busy, so we see a lot of traffic, but our village life in Behtachand is pretty steady. We supply bricks to a lot of the small construction jobs around here. If a neighbor is adding a room to their house, they usually come to us. We don't spend money on advertising because everyone knows where the brick field is. We just focus on keeping the kiln running and making sure the bricks are tough enough for whatever they’re needed for. It’s a messy job, and we’re usually covered in mud by noon, but it’s the life we chose and it works for us.
