Our mill is out in the Village Dhir Khera Industrial Area on Hapur Road. It is quite a distance from the main city, so it feels different out here. There is a lot of space, which we need for all the machinery and the grain. The sound of the rollers is something you get used to after a few days. It is a constant hum that fills the whole building. We have trucks coming in from the farms at all hours. There is always a layer of fine dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep. We wear simple clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. The office is just a small room near the front gate with a few chairs and a heavy desk. We spend most of our time out on the floor or checking the loading area. It is hard work, and the days are long. We eat our lunch together in the shade when we can find a quiet moment. Hapur Road is always busy with traffic, so we hear the horns from the highway. We have been operating here for a while, and the locals know the mill well. We don't have any shiny displays or sales talk. We just focus on the grain and making sure the machines keep running without breaking down. It is a basic operation, but it keeps us busy from dawn until late in the evening.
