Gupta Brick Field

Gupta Brick Field is situated in the Village and Post of Gondi, within the Hapur Tehsil of Ghaziabad district. It’s a large open field where we do all our brick making. If you come out this way, you’ll see the tall chimney from quite a distance. We’ve been operating in Gondi for quite some time now. The work is very seasonal. When it's dry, we are moving non-stop to get the bricks molded and fired. The dust is just part of the job here; you get used to it after a couple of days. We don't have a fancy office building, just a small shed where we take care of the accounts and meet with the people who come to buy. Most of our customers are from the surrounding villages or from Hapur. They know we have a steady supply when the weather is good. It takes a lot of people to keep the brick field running. We have workers who specialize in the molding and others who handle the firing of the kiln. It's a traditional process that hasn't changed much over the years. We just try to make a basic brick that people can use for their homes and walls. The Ghaziabad area is always developing, so there is usually a demand for what we do. We aren't looking to become some massive company; we just want to keep the field running and provide for our families. That is all.
