In the village of Tilana, not too far from the Bhadra post office, you’ll find our little group. Karlox Jc Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Jahanara Bibi’s house, and it’s a fairly straightforward operation. We’re a bunch of local farmers who realized that we were all facing the same problems with our crops and the markets. Instead of just worrying about it individually, we decided to put our names on some official papers and see if we could do better as a group. It’s not like we have a big staff or anything. It’s mostly just us and our families putting in the hours. The weather in Tilana can be unpredictable, and that’s usually what we talk about most when we get together. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff, just a commitment to showing up and doing the work. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but Jahanara keeps us on track.
