This office for the Department of Agriculture is located right in Vpo-Dhamrol in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. We are based out of a place connected to Mr. Mahesh Chander's family. It is a very rural area, which makes sense since we deal with farming and land all day. The air is fresh up here, but the roads can be a bit of a challenge during the rainy season. Most of the people who come by are local farmers from the surrounding villages. They stop in to ask questions or get some help with their paperwork. We don't have any high-tech equipment, just the basics to get the job done. Sometimes we are out in the fields more than we are in the office. It is a quiet life in 177024. The pace is slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. We see the same faces every week. It’s about the soil, the crops, and the weather mostly. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. If the electricity goes out, we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It is an honest way to spend the day, helping out where we can in our small corner of Himachal. There isn't much noise except for the occasional tractor passing by on the main road. It works for us and we keep at it.
