Omshakti Agri Biotech Private Limited

We are based out of a house in Nai Basti, number 783, over in the Sumerpur part of Hamirpur. We called the business Omshakti Agri Biotech. That might sound like a big, fancy name you'd find in a city, but we are really just local folks who are interested in how to make farming a bit better using what we know. We aren't running some giant laboratory with white coats or expensive equipment. It is a small private company run by people who actually care about what is happening in the soil. We spend a lot of our time looking at different seeds and observing how things grow in this specific climate. Sumerpur is a place where agriculture is the main way people survive, so it made sense for us to start this here. The office is just a part of the house where we keep our notes, books, and some samples we’ve collected over the seasons. It gets incredibly hot here during the summer months, which affects just about everything we try to do. We spend our time trying to figure out practical, low-cost ways to deal with common pests and the long dry spells. It is mostly a process of trial and error and talking to other farmers in the neighborhood to see what they have noticed on their own land. We don't have a big marketing budget or some fancy sales team. Most people only find out about us because of word of mouth. We just want to provide something useful.
