Informatics Officer

This office is tucked inside the C/o D.c. Office for the district. Informatics Officer is the name on the door, but it’s really just a small corner where we handle the data and paperwork that comes across the desk. It’s a government building, so things can be a bit slow or formal sometimes, but we try to keep our part of it running okay. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a chat, but we’re here if there’s a specific need regarding the records. The office itself is pretty plain, just desks, computers, and a lot of files. Working in the D.c. OfficeDistrict means there’s always people coming in and out for all sorts of reasons. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place over the years. It’s a job that requires staying organized, even when the pile of papers gets high. We don't have a big staff, so we just take things one step at a time. The lighting isn't the best in this part of the building, but we make do. It’s a functional space meant for getting things sorted out for the district. We don't spend much time on anything that isn't necessary. People usually come to us when they’ve been sent from another department. We just do what’s required and keep the systems moving along as best as possible without making a big fuss about it. We’re just regular folks doing a necessary job every day.
