Ranbaxy Industries

Ranbaxy Industries is located at Plot No. 204-4. It’s one of those spots that’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for the specific number on the fence. We’ve been operating out of this small corner for a long time now. The workspace is a bit cramped because we’ve got a lot of equipment squeezed into the area, but we make it work. Every morning, the first person in kicks the heavy metal door open and starts the long process of getting everything warmed up. There’s a specific smell of oil and cold metal that hits you right away. We aren't a massive corporate outfit; it's more like a group of people who’ve learned how to fix just about anything that breaks on the floor. Most of our conversations happen over the noise of the machinery, so we end up shouting a lot, which sounds like we’re arguing, but we’re really not. The paperwork piles up on the small desk in the corner, and sometimes it takes us a few days to get around to filing it properly. We’re more focused on the actual production than the office side of things. When the rain comes down hard, it makes a racket on the tin roof, and we have to put buckets out in the one spot that always leaks. The commute to Plot 204-4 can be a bit of a chore because the roads are full of potholes that never seem to get fixed. We usually take turns bringing in some snacks for the afternoon break, which is about the only time the machines stop.
