Swastik Boot Company is tucked away in Lashkar, specifically on Dal Bazar. We are in Argade Ki Gali, which is a bit of a turn off the main path. If you are looking for us, we are quite near the Barma Nursing Home. It’s a busy little pocket of the district. The street is usually filled with people going about their business or headed to the clinic. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, it smells like leather and rubber, which is something you just get used to after a few days. We have rows of boxes stacked all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle to find exactly what we need, but we usually know where everything is tucked away. The floor is old wood and it creaks when you walk over certain spots. We don’t have much in the way of air conditioning, so we keep the doors open when the weather allows. It’s a family-run kind of feeling here, even if we aren’t all related. We’ve been here long enough that we know the history of the Gali and who has moved in or out over the years. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything like that. We just sell what we sell and try to be honest with the people who walk through the door. It’s a decent way to make a living.
