Relaxo Footwear

Our place is out in Morar, specifically near Kuti Azad in Gwalior. It’s a standard spot for Relaxo Footwear. The building isn’t anything special to look at, just a functional space where we keep a lot of stock. If you walk in, you’ll see stacks of boxes piled almost to the ceiling. It smells like new rubber and plastic most of the time, which you get used to after a few days. We get a lot of local folks coming in to see what we have. Gwalior can get incredibly hot in May and June, so the shop floor gets a bit stuffy despite the fans. We spend a good chunk of our day unloading trucks and counting pairs of slippers and shoes to make sure the inventory is right. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, so we are always wiping down the displays. The staff here is mostly local guys who live nearby, so there is a lot of chatting about local news between customers. We don't do any big presentations or have a corporate feel. It’s just about moving the boxes and helping people find the right size. Some days are slow, but when the festival season hits, it gets pretty hectic around here. We just keep the doors open and try to stay organized among all the boxes of footwear. It is hard work but we are a good group and we get it done.
