Sri Venkateswar Traders

Sri Venkateswar Traders is based out of the Ganesh Rice Mills area. We are located right behind the Ramleela Maidan in the Chawni district. Since we are so close to the mills, the whole air usually smells like raw rice and husk. It is a very busy place, especially during the harvest seasons when trucks are lined up all the way down the road. We are traders, so we spend our time buying and selling grain. Our office is just a small partitioned area inside a larger warehouse. It is quite dusty and we have to clean the desks every single morning. We don't have fancy furniture, just some old wooden chairs and a big table where we spread out the grain samples to look at them. We use small scales to weigh things and we keep all our records in thick registers. The neighborhood of Chawni is quite old and the buildings are close together. When there are events at the Ramleela Maidan, it gets so loud that we can barely hear ourselves talk. We don't have a big marketing plan or a website. We just rely on the relationships we have built with the farmers and other traders over the years. It is hard work and the days are long, but it is what we have always done. The fan in the corner barely helps with the heat.
