Porwal Computers

Our shop, Porwal Computers, is located inside the Parasmani Mall over in Jayendra Ganj. We are at Shop No. 10 on the upper ground floor. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s a good little spot. Even though it’s in a mall, it feels like a regular local shop once you step inside. We have cables hanging on the walls and a few stacks of laptop bags near the entrance. I spend most of my day sitting at the back bench fixing things. The mall lights are always on, so I sometimes lose track of whether it’s sunny or raining outside. We get a mix of people coming in—students from nearby and some office workers who need a quick repair. It’s not a huge place, so things can get a bit messy with all the boxes of parts arriving. I try to keep the glass counter clean, but there’s always fingerprints from people pointing at things. Jayendra Ganj is a busy area, so there’s usually something going on downstairs. We don’t do any fancy marketing; most people just see our sign when they’re walking through the mall looking for something else. It’s a steady job. We open in the morning and stay until the mall closes up in the evening. It’s just a simple computer shop where we try to get things fixed as best as we can without making it complicated for anyone who comes in during the day.
