Our shop is number 15, right there at the railway station in the Bajariya area. It is a very loud place to work because of the trains coming in and the people constantly shouting outside. We have a small desk and a couple of chairs where people sit when they are tired from their journey. Most of the time we are just looking at schedules or helping someone figure out which bus or car they need to take next. The Bajariya market is always crowded, so getting a vehicle in and out of the station area takes a lot of patience. We have seen the station change over the years, but the rush stays the same. People come in with heavy bags and looking for a way to get home or to their hotel. We do our best to help them without making things complicated. It’s mostly about knowing the roads and who is driving what car today. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but the work doesn’t stop. It’s a small space, and it gets quite hot in the summer months with the sun hitting the front of the shop. We keep a water jug in the corner for anyone who needs a drink. It’s just a normal travel office trying to keep things moving for the travelers passing through the station every single day.
