Vinod Kumar Sethi. I operate out of the Amar Chand Gangwal Building on Kedar Road. It’s tucked away in the Jain Gali section of Fancy Bazaar. If you know Guwahati, you know that Kedar Road is always packed with people and goods being moved around. Jain Gali is a bit tighter, with old buildings standing close together. My workspace is in one of those buildings. It’s an older structure with a lot of character, and it’s been around for quite a while. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but you can still hear the hustle and bustle from outside. I have my main desk and a couple of spare chairs. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s not really a priority. I’m more focused on the tasks I have to finish each day. There are stacks of paper around because that’s just how the work goes. Finding the building for the first time might be a little tricky because the signs aren't very big, but most locals can point you toward Jain Gali. It’s a very traditional part of the city. I’ve spent many years in this office, and I’ve seen the market change quite a bit, though the energy remains the same. It’s just a plain, functional place where I spend my working hours. There’s no lobby or receptionist, just a door that leads into my room where I get things done and handle the papers.
