We operate B L C Trust out of the Municipal Market on A.T. Road. If you know the area, you know that the Municipal Market is a real landmark. It’s a crowded place with all kinds of vendors selling everything from vegetables to clothes. Our space is right in the middle of all that. It’s a very old building, and it has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit worn down in places. A.T. Road is always full of vehicles and pedestrians, so there’s a constant hum of activity. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or modern office furniture. We just have the basics—some sturdy tables, chairs, and our files. It gets quite loud during the peak market hours, but we’ve learned to work through it. We’ve been here for a long time, so we know most of the other people who have shops in the market. It’s a very community-focused environment. We don't spend money on marketing or anything like that. We just focus on the work of the trust and helping out where we can. It’s a very straightforward way to spend the day. We like being part of the local scene here in the market. It feels more real than being in a big glass office building somewhere else. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down.
