Silk Craft

We are over here in Ulubari Chariali, right in the Peace Enclave building at 5-C. It’s a busy spot in Guwahati, especially with the G.S. Road traffic always moving outside our window. People usually find us by looking for the 724 number on the enclave. We’ve been set up in this part of town for a while now, just handling our daily work with silk and fabrics. Most mornings start with unlocking the shutters and checking what needs doing for the day. It gets a bit loud outside around noon, but inside the enclave, it stays pretty decent for working. We aren't a huge team or anything like that. Just a few of us here making sure things get done. Sometimes the parking out front is a real headache for visitors, but that is just how it is in Ulubari. We keep our space simple. There are rolls of material and desks scattered around the room. It’s not fancy, but it works for what we do. We mostly focus on our tasks and try to stay organized among all the threads and patterns. If you walk past the main junction, you can’t really miss the building. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this neighborhood over the years. It feels like home to us now, even with all the noise from the street. We just keep our heads down and handle the craft part of the business the way we always have.
