Ranthan

Ranthan is located right on G S Road in Guwahati. If you know the area, we are near Bora Service and directly opposite the Ulubari Petrol Pump. It’s a very busy part of town, so there’s always noise and people moving about. We are inside the Peetee Tower in Lachit Nagar. Being on such a main road means we see all kinds of people every day. Some are just passing through, and others work in the offices nearby. The traffic can be a real headache sometimes, especially during the rains when the street gets a bit messy. Our space is not very big, but we make it work with what we have. We started this because we wanted a spot in the middle of the city where we could do our work. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers keeping the place running. We don’t go for any of those flashy decorations you see in the new malls. It’s just a practical setup with some chairs and our equipment. Most of our regulars know us by name now. They come in, have a chat about the weather or the local news, and then get on with their day. Working in 781007 keeps us right in the heart of things. It’s a lot of work maintaining a spot in such a crowded area, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of GS Road after all these years. It gets loud with the horns, but you get used to it.
