R K Trading Co. is right in the heart of Fancy Bazar on T.R.P Road. If you know the area, we are quite close to Gopal Maharaj. It is a very crowded part of town, and there is always someone shouting or a rickshaw honking right outside the door. Our shop is filled with all sorts of goods because we trade in whatever is in demand. Space is a bit tight here, so we have boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling. We have been in this spot for years and know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. It’s the kind of place where you have to move fast or you’ll get in someone’s way. Every morning starts with unloading new stock and checking what needs to go out. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in our old ledger books. The fans are always running to keep the humidity down, but it still gets hot in the afternoons. Customers come in and out all day, some just to chat and some to buy in bulk. We don't do much advertising because people in the bazar already know where we are. It’s a loud, busy, and messy way to earn a living, but it suits us just fine. We just try to keep the stock moving and manage the daily sales.
