Patgiri Store

Patgiri Store is located right at Maligaon Chariali here in Guwahati. It’s a very busy junction, so there is always something happening right outside our door. We’ve been serving the local community in 781005 for a good while now. Our shop is where people stop by when they realize they’ve run out of sugar or dal in the middle of cooking. We keep the essentials ready on the front counter to make things faster. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside when more than three people enter at once. We don't have a big staff, just the family members taking turns behind the till. Sometimes the rain here in Assam gets really heavy, and we have to move the bags of grain further back so they don't get damp. We aren't looking to be a fancy supermarket. We just want to be the place where you can find your favorite brand of soap or a packet of chips without any fuss. The days are long, starting before the sun is fully up and ending well after dark. We talk to the vendors, check the expiry dates, and keep the shelves filled. It’s just regular daily life for us at Maligaon Chariali, and we’ve gotten quite comfortable with the routine of it all.
