We've been at Hanuman Tower on S.J. Road for a while now. Athgaon is always busy, especially around the Masjid area, so there's a lot of noise from the street that comes up to the rooms. People usually find us easily enough because the tower is a well-known landmark in this part of Guwahati. Our rooms are just standard classrooms where students sit and work on their subjects for hours. It isn't anything fancy or polished. We have old wooden benches, some whiteboards that don't always erase perfectly, and a lot of notebooks piled up in the corners. Sometimes the ceiling fans make a bit of a clicking noise, but nobody really minds when they are focused on their work. Students come from all over the city, taking buses or walking from the station. We spend a lot of time just talking about exams and how to solve problems that seem tricky. It’s a lot of repetition and practice every single day. You see the same faces every afternoon and you get to know everyone's habits. We drink a lot of tea from the small shop nearby to stay awake during the long evening sessions. There’s no big secret to what happens here, just people trying to learn things. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We just keep things moving along. If you walk past the tower, you'll see students hanging out near the entrance during breaks.
