We are tucked away in Hatigarh Chariali, specifically on Hill Side Bye Lane Number 2. It is off Zoo Naranga Road, so it is a bit quieter than the main streets. The lane is somewhat narrow, and you have to watch where you are going if you are driving a bigger vehicle. Our building is just a plain structure where we keep our equipment and materials. We start our day early, usually when the birds are still loud in the trees nearby. It is a bit of a climb coming up this way, but the air feels a little better than in the middle of the city. We have a small crew here. Everyone knows what they are supposed to do, so we don't spend a lot of time talking about it. The workshop has a high ceiling and gets quite hot in the summer months. We have a few old fans that we keep running all day. Sometimes the rain makes a lot of noise on the roof, and we have to shout a bit to be heard. We keep our tools on the wall and our supplies stacked against the back. It is a practical space for the kind of work we do. We don't have a fancy sign or a big front desk. Most of our neighbors know us by now. It is just a steady place where we come to work every morning and leave when the job is done.
