Jalan Hydraulics

Our shop is tucked inside the Kumudini Commercial Enclave over at Shankar Nagar, right off A.T. Road. Being at number 155 means we get a lot of the noise from the main road, but it’s a good spot for people to find us. Jalan Hydraulics isn't a very large operation. It is mostly just a few of us surrounded by metal parts, hoses, and the smell of oil. The floor has a few stains that won't ever come out, no matter how much we scrub them. We spend most of our time looking at diagrams or trying to fix something that someone brought in. It gets loud sometimes when the machines are running, so we end up shouting over the noise just to talk. The shelves are packed with stuff, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly the right fitting. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. People usually just stand near the workbench while we talk. The lighting isn't the best in the back, but we make do with a few extra lamps. It’s a bit of a maze with all the boxes around, but we know where everything is. Every morning we roll up the shutter and get to work. It’s just how things are done here on A.T. Road. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local place doing what we know how to do for the customers who need us to get things running again.
