N. K. Engineering Works

N. K. Engineering Works is down on the ground floor of the Divyalok building. We are right by College Tiniali, so there are always students and people moving around outside. The shop is a bit cramped because we have a lot of metal scraps and old machines taking up space. It is not the kind of place where you would find fancy decorations. We just have some old calendars on the wall and a few light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Most of the time, the floor is covered in metal shavings that we have to sweep up at the end of every day. We get a lot of local walk-ins since we are so close to the college area. People bring in all sorts of broken things that need welding or fixing. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit outside on the steps of Divyalok and wait for it to come back on. We use that time to talk to the other shop owners nearby. It is a steady life and we like being in this part of town. We are not trying to become some giant company. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure the work we do is solid enough to last. It is just basic engineering work for everyday people.
