Deuta Rupokar Art

Deuta Rupokar Art is situated near Forest Gate in the Narangi area. We are right on the Guwahati Narangi Road, not far from Noonmati. The shop is a bit of a creative mess, which is how we like it. There are paints, brushes, and half-finished projects in almost every corner. We do a lot of hand-painted work and artistic signs for the community here. The road outside can get quite dusty, but once you step inside, it’s all about the colors and the textures. I usually start my morning by mixing paints and checking the brushes. We don't have a big team of workers, just a couple of us who enjoy the hands-on nature of the work. It’s a slow process sometimes, especially when we have to wait for layers to dry before adding more detail. People stop by to watch us work or to talk about an idea they have for their home or business. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just old-fashioned skills and a bit of patience. Being near the Forest Gate means we get a lot of travelers passing through, and some of them pop in just to see what we are making. It’s a simple life, focused on the art we produce day in and day out. We just try to do a decent job and stay honest with the folks who come through our door. It’s been our home for a while now and we hope to stay here.
