Purple Desing

Our little studio is located in Chandmari. We call it Purple Desing. It’s a small space on a street that always seems to be under construction or busy with people. Inside, we have a few desks pushed together and some computers. There are usually sketches and notes taped to the walls. We aren't a big agency with a lot of staff. It’s just us working on different projects. Chandmari is a good spot because it’s lively and there is always something to see out the window. The office isn't perfectly neat. We have piles of magazines and color samples lying around. We spend a lot of time debating about where things should go on a page. It’s a lot of clicking and typing for most of the day. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle in the corner. People who come to see us are usually looking for something simple and direct. We’ve been in this neighborhood for some time now and we like the vibe here. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear jeans and stay late if we have to. Sometimes we get frustrated with a design, but then we figure it out eventually. It’s just a regular job for us, even if it’s creative. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just sit down and get to work every morning when the sun comes through the window.
