Maharaja Bakery

Maharaja Bakery has been a part of the Mantripukhri neighborhood for quite some time now. You can find us easily because the shop is named the same as the business, and it’s right there on the main stretch. Every morning starts very early for us, usually before the sun is even up, so we can get the ovens hot and the first batches of bread ready. By the time people are heading to work, the smell of fresh baking is usually drifting out onto the street. We have glass counters filled with all sorts of things like biscuits, cakes, and local snacks that people like to grab with their tea. The shop isn't very big, so it can get a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone stops by on their way home. We have a few staff members who have been with us for years, and they know most of the regular customers by name. It’s a simple place with white tiled walls and the constant hum of the refrigerators in the back. We don't do anything too fancy; we just make the kind of food that people in Mantripukhri like to eat every day. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by late afternoon, so things can get a bit quiet towards the end of the day. We spend the last hour cleaning up the flour and crumbs and getting things ready to do it all over again the next day.
