We are located up on the first floor of Bajrangbali Market, which is right in the heart of Fancy Bazar. If you know Srcb Road, then you know how crowded and noisy it can get around here, especially on market days. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks and a lot of ledgers, but it works for us. We’ve been in the salt trade for quite a long time now. It’s a tough business sometimes because salt is heavy and the weather here in Assam can be pretty unpredictable. We spend most of our mornings dealing with the logistics of moving bags around and talking to the wholesalers. It’s a lot of work and we don't always get everything right on the first try, but we do our best to fix things when they go wrong. We aren't some big corporation with a lot of fancy rules. We’re just local people who know the market and know our customers by name. The stairs up to our place are a bit worn down, but they’ve seen a lot of business over the years. We don’t spend money on advertising because we think people just want someone they can trust. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily tasks. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from morning till night. We’re just glad to be part of the bazar. We usually have a bit of tea ready if a regular stops by for a chat.
