Our office is at 428 Udyog Vihar Phase 4. This part of Gurgaon is always under some kind of construction, so there is usually a lot of dust and noise outside. The building we are in is one of those standard glass and concrete blocks you see everywhere around here. Inside, it is mostly open-plan with rows of desks and those blue swivel chairs that everyone has. The air conditioning is always running, sometimes a bit too cold, so a few of us keep sweaters at our desks even in the middle of summer. We have a small pantry where the coffee machine usually breaks down once a week, and that is where people go to complain about the traffic on the highway. The view from the windows is just other office buildings and the parking lot. Most of the day is spent looking at screens or sitting in meetings that probably go on a bit longer than they should. It is a professional environment but it is not fancy. The walls are mostly white and bare, except for a few calendars and some old notices. Getting in and out of Phase 4 in the evening is a bit of a nightmare because of the bottleneck at the main road, so we often stay a bit late just to avoid the worst of it. It is just a regular corporate workspace where everyone is trying to get through their daily work and go home.
