If you’re looking for Shree Shyam Paints, you’ll find us at house 231 in Indira Colony, over in Sector 52. We’ve been running this paint shop from this location for a good while. The space isn't fancy, just rows of paint cans and stacks of brushes everywhere you look. Usually, the morning starts with checking what colors we’ve got left and seeing if the mixing machine is working right. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes, especially when we’re opening lids or helping someone match a scrap of old paint they brought in a plastic bag. We see a lot of local painters and some homeowners who are trying to do the work themselves. Sector 52 is a busy area, so there’s always someone coming in needing a specific shade of white or some waterproof coating for their roof. It gets dusty in here with all the foot traffic and the stock moving around, but that’s just how a hardware and paint store is. We don't spend much time on decorations; we just make sure the shelves are full. Sometimes we run out of the popular brands, and we have to wait for the delivery truck to show up on Tuesdays. It’s just me and a helper most days, keeping track of the inventory and making sure people get the right quantity for their walls. We stay open until late evening most days because that's when people finish their own work.
