Shah Hospital

Shah Hospital is located right opposite the old bus stand in Kaithal. Since we are so close to where the buses come and go, there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. It’s a very central spot, which means we get people coming in from all the surrounding villages and towns. The building itself has been here for quite some time. Inside, the hallways are usually busy with families waiting and staff moving between rooms. We have the usual hospital smells of disinfectant and floor cleaner. In the lobby, the chairs are almost always full, especially in the early hours of the day. We spend our time checking on patients in the wards and keeping up with the paperwork at the main desk. It can get a bit chaotic when several buses arrive at once and more people walk in. We try to keep things organized, but a hospital is a living thing and it doesn’t always go to plan. The windows look out onto the street where you can see the tea sellers and the bus drivers. It’s a plain, functional place where the focus is just on the patients. We don’t have anything fancy, just the beds, the medicine, and the staff who show up every morning to do their shifts. It’s a local fixture in Kaithal and most people know exactly where to find us.
