Our shop is tucked away in the lower ground floor of Building No 55/A in the Siddharth Shopping Chamber 1. We are Shop No 10, which is pretty close to the IIT Gate in Kalu Sarai. Being in a basement area means we don't get much sun, but it stays a bit cooler down here when the Delhi sun is beating down on the pavement above. You have to walk down the stairs and turn the corner to find us. Since we’re so close to the IIT area, we see a lot of students and academic folks walking by all the time. S F E Engineering Technologies is basically just a few of us surrounded by tools, computers, and a lot of technical manuals. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of parts stored on the shelves that reach all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like a maze getting from the front door to the back desk. We do a lot of specialized engineering work that requires a lot of focus, so it’s actually nice being a bit hidden away from the main street noise. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep things lively. The lighting isn't the best, so we use a lot of desk lamps to see what we're doing. It’s a practical workspace for people who actually like fixing and designing things.
