About Ronit Fruit Co – Food & Beverages in Gurugram
Our spot is right near the Holi Ground in Sadar Bazar, and it's always a bit of a squeeze with all the crates. In the morning, around four or five, the place is already moving with people unloading trucks. We handle a lot of different fruits, so the smell changes depending on what’s in season, like mangoes in the summer or apples when it gets colder. The floor is usually covered in some straw or cardboard pieces to stop things from slipping. We don't have a big storefront with lights; it’s mostly just stacks of wooden and plastic boxes piled up high. You have to watch your step when walking through. We spend the day checking the stock and talking to the vendors who come to buy in bulk. It gets pretty muddy if it rains since the ground outside isn't great, but the work doesn't stop. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. Sometimes we sit there and have tea while waiting for the next delivery to arrive. Sadar Bazar is a busy place, so there's always noise from the rickshaws and other traders shouting. We’ve been at number 20 for quite a while now. It’s just a normal fruit business where we focus on getting the produce in and out as fast as we can before anything spoils or gets bruised in the heat.
