We are up on the 6th floor of the D.L.F. Gateway Tower. It’s a big glass building in Phase-III of D.L.F. City. Working at Metso Minerals Pvt. Ltd. means we have a pretty good view of the surrounding area, though we’re usually too busy to look out the window much. The tower is very modern, with fast lifts and a lot of security at the front. Even though it’s a corporate-looking place, our day-to-day is pretty standard. We spend a lot of time on computers and on the phone, dealing with mineral projects and equipment. The office is air-conditioned, which is a relief from the heat outside, but it can feel a bit sterile sometimes. We try to keep it friendly by having our morning coffee together in the small pantry area. Commuting to Phase-III can be a bit of a nightmare with the Gurgaon traffic, but once you’re inside the Gateway Tower, it’s a different world. It’s quiet and professional. We don't have a lot of flashy stuff on the walls, just some maps and project schedules. We’re just a group of people trying to manage complex mineral operations from a high-rise office. It’s a lot of emails and meetings, but we get the job done. The pace is fast, and the days go by quickly when there is so much to coordinate across different sites. It’s just our regular work life.
