Kauni Academy

We’re located right on M G Road, which means it’s always loud outside with the traffic and people walking by. Kauni Academy is basically just a few rooms where we hold our classes. It’s an easy spot to get to because the buses and metro are so close, which helps the students arrive on time. The building is older, so the windows sometimes rattle when a heavy truck passes. Benches and tables are set up for the lessons in a very simple way. It’s nothing fancy, just a place to study. We spend our mornings setting up the materials and the evenings are usually packed with different batches. Sometimes we run out of chalk or the markers go dry right in the middle of a session. It happens. Someone just grabs another one from the drawer and keeps going. There’s a tea stall nearby where we usually go during the breaks. It’s a good place to stretch your legs after sitting for a few hours. The walls have some posters on them, mostly just schedules and old notices. Not much effort goes into decorating. The main thing is that the students have a place to sit and learn. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. You get used to the city noise after a while. It’s just part of being on M G Road. We have been here for a long time now and the place feels like home.
